Shagun Mehra is director of cuisine at the renowned, award winning Hotel, Coco Shambhala. It was awarded the “Best Boutique Hotel” at the Outlook Traveller Awards, 2016 and is listed by Condé Nast Traveller in the World’s Top 25 beach villas and by TripAdvisor in India’s top 50 hotels.

Shagun draws her inspiration from her time training and working as a culinary and wine expert all over the world. She officially trained in hospitality at Switzerland’s renowned ‘Ecole Les Roches’, and fine-tuned her culinary skills at Paris’ ‘Le Cordon Bleu’.
Following her studies Shagun went on to co-found the First Accredited Wine School in India and has personally trained top hotel, airline and restaurant staff on the finer points of food and wine.
Shagun is incredibly passionate and enthusiastic about wildlife and animals, particularly conservation and care. She intends to use her influence as well as her culinary and hospitality skills to showcase the Ear to the Wild Foundation and help raise awareness for the responsible environmentally technological solution available to the threats wildlife is facing in India, a project very dear to her heart.
